The Three Choirs Festival is taking place in Gloucester between 22 – 29 July and is a week packed with world-class music in beautiful settings.

There really is something for everyone, including:

Cathedral Concerts

Evening concerts take place in the magnificent setting of Gloucester Cathedral. Expect spectacular music from leading orchestras and soloists throughout the week.

Daytime Concerts

Daytime concerts include organ recitals, the Flowers Band, the Fidelio Trio and Clare Hammond: Piano Pioneers. These take place in beautiful venues around Gloucestershire and are the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Talks

Learn something new at one of our morning talks, from music publishing to the therapeutic power of music.

Family Events

Get 20% off when you book for three or more family events. From Magic and Mischief to the Three Little Mammoths, there’s sure to be something for all the family.

Late-Night Concerts

The perfect way to unwind at the end of a long day, our late-night concerts let you experience beautiful music in a relaxed and informal setting and enjoy a drink from the bar while you listen.

FREE ACTIVTIES

There is so much on offer at the festival without even having to book a ticket. Here are just some of the things you could enjoy during the week:

Opening Celebration

Join us for music and celebrations as we open the festival with three separate processions through the streets of Gloucester, featuring Gloucester Cathedral Choir, the Flowers Band and the Nethra Academy of Performing Arts.

Festival Village

Our Festival Village is the perfect place to relax, enjoy a drink and meet with friends. Open all week outside Gloucester cathedral, there will be street food and a cafe and bar serving refreshments.

Community Bandstand

Enjoy free music and entertainment from local groups on our community bandstand as you relax outside the cathedral.

Cathedral Rehearsals

Want to get a taste of the incredible festival music for free? Then dip into our cathedral rehearsals. You can come in at any point, no ticket needed, and stay for as long or short a time as you would like. Full details of rehearsal times can be found online at 3choirs.org/your-visit

    The Cathedral is located in the historic heart of Gloucester and our spectacular tower can be seen from many spots in and around the city.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.

    There are bike racks available on Cathedral Green. Route 41 of the National Cycle Network runs through the Cathedral grounds – find out more about the route here.
