Securing the Cathedral's future together

Gloucester Cathedral is not just a beautiful building, it is a living and working place which many visit each day – from schools taking part in educational activities, to tourists enjoying the heritage and local people attending a service or enjoying a moment of peace.

The Cathedral means a great deal to a great number of people but keeping it open to the public costs over £6,000 a day (£2.2 million per year). We receive no direct funding from the Government and rely on donations and gifts in wills, along with the many hours of time given by our volunteers to survive.

We need your support to ensure the Cathedral remains open and most importantly, FREE for generations to come.

There are many ways in which you can get involved – click on the links to the left to find out more.
