Hidden Hardship and Life on the Breadline Exhibitions

Friday 16 January - Tuesday 3 February

On display in the Cloister, Hidden Hardship and Life on the Breadline are thought-provoking exhibitions led by researcher Dr Stephanie Denning exploring poverty across both rural and urban settings.

  • Hidden Hardship gives an insight into people’s experiences of hardship in the rural North Cotswolds, coping strategies, and barriers to wellbeing.

  • Life on the Breadline examines Church responses to poverty in the UK in the context of austerity.

The exhibition shares stories and insights from this participatory research.

All are welcome to visit and explore the exhibition during cathedral opening hours.
