Reverend Craig Huxley-Jones installed as Canon Precentor

On Saturday 13 January during Choral Evensong, Gloucester Cathedral held a special service to formally welcome The Reverend Craig Huxley-Jones as Canon Precentor and Director of Congregational Development.

Revd Craig Huxley-Jones was installed as Canon Precentor and Director of Congregational Development in the Quire of the Cathedral during Choral Evensong. The service was well attended, and was live-streamed. A recording is available on the Cathedral's YouTube channel.

Canon Craig will shape and lead the pastoral care of the congregation, visitors and Cathedral staff and volunteers, whilst strategising for the growth of the congregation as a diverse and inclusive community. Craig will also have oversight of worship and music at the Cathedral, which is going through a particularly key period following the launch of the ambitious In Tunecampaign earlier this year.

Reflecting on his Installation, Canon Craig said:

"It was wonderful to celebrate the beginning of a new ministry supported by family, friends and colleagues. Gloucester already feels like home and now the exciting work begins!"

Canon Craig
