Gloucester Cathedral’s Fabric Advisory Committee (FAC) is seeking to recruit new members

Gloucester Cathedral’s Fabric Advisory Committee (FAC) is seeking to recruit new members with skills in at least one of these fields:

• Access planning

• Adaptation of historic buildings for modern use

• Conservation (monuments and polychrome decoration)

• Curation (decorative and applied art)

• Landscaping

• Medieval architectural history

• Stained glass

• Structural engineering

The role of the FAC is to advise the Cathedral’s Chapter on the care, conservation, repair and development of the building, its setting and the significant objects it holds. It has statutory responsibility for approving all works, developments, repairs and loans which Chapter wishes to carry out. Membership of the FAC is a voluntary role.
