An exciting chance to join the admin team at Gloucester Cathedral
Full-time 35 hours per week
For the right candidate we are open to flexible working terms
Salary Band 7 (£28,810 - £33,514) per annum depending on experience
We are looking for a highly organised, experienced and exceptional administrator to work as a trusted partner to The Canon Precentor and the Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral. Worship and Music is a key part of the Cathedral’s mission and this role within the charity requires a thinker who can anticipate needs, manage priorities, and support The Canon Precentor’s leadership function and the day to day smooth running of the Music Department.
You’ll be working closely with teams across the Cathedral Community - including our Clergy and diocese colleagues, so the ability to form positive relationships with various stakeholders is crucial.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of working within an office environment, ideally in a music administrative role
• Excellent time management and the ability to balance numerous priorities and deadlines
• A high degree of confidentiality and flexibility
Crucially, you will love to organise and drive forward actions while building meaningful relationships. In return, we offer the rewarding experience of working in a high profile, multi-faceted heritage site with a supportive team of excellent musicians who are committed to what they do. Opportunities like this are rare, so if you are looking for a stimulating role where no day is the same, this could be the perfect job for you.
