An exciting opportunity to join the Property and Development Team at the Diocese
Full time (35 hours per week)
Band 4 £34,947 - £41,726 per annum
An opening has arisen for an enthusiastic and reliable person to join the Diocese of Gloucester Property Team as a Maintenance Surveyor. The post will be based at Church House, College Green, Gloucester, and will be involved in managing planned and reactive maintenance works including adaptations and improvement works for the residential property portfolio, offices, and Almshouses. The portfolio consists of a variety of property types from new modern designs to historic listed buildings which provides an exciting opportunity and an excellent variety of work.
The post will need to exhibit good knowledge and experience of an array of construction methods and demonstrate strong problem-solving attributes and specification writing to implement and manage works.
This post will act as the central point of contact for clergy, staff and tenants, living and using our properties ensuring that repairs and maintenance are undertaken in a professional and timely way supported by an excellent customer service experience.
You will need to be able to balance a busy workload, prioritise work and have a positive people focus, and be highly professional, practical and pragmatic in outlook!
