We are excited to be able to invite applications for a full-time tenor Lay Clerk. Starting on Monday 28th April 2025.

Music has been at the heart of Gloucester Cathedral’s worship for almost 1,000 years and we offer the very best we can to the glory of God. Music can transform and connect people through prayer and praise and we strive to promote a greater appreciation of its value by bringing people together to share in stimulating musical experiences.

Music is integral to our daily worship with Choral Evensong / Evening Prayer | Gloucester Cathedral being sung by either the Cathedral Choir or the Cathedral Youth Choir every day during school term time, and occasionally by visiting choirs during school holidays.

The full-time tenor Lay Clerk will enjoy singing at Evensong every day and at the Eucharist, and other statutory services.

Closing date is 9am on Monday 3 March 2025, with auditions on Monday 10 March 2025 in Gloucester.
