Cathedral Tower Lit Purple for Scoo-B-Doo

15 November - 22 November

We're pleased to be lighting the Cathedral Tower purple to raise awareness of World Prematurity Month and the vital work of Scoo-B-Doo, the charity of Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals Neonatal Unit. The charity was founded in 1983 by a group of parents and staff and is celebrating its 40th Anniversary, with lots of exciting events and things planned. The charity committee is run by a small group of parent-led volunteers and neonatal staff. The charity has no paid-for staff, and any money that is raised goes to buy vital life-saving equipment to give premature and sick babies the best start in life across Gloucestershire.

November is World Prematurity Month and World Prematurity Day is on Friday 17 November. To coincide with this, people wear purple and buildings are also lit up purple all over the world to thank the amazing neonatal staff for looking after our precious baby/babies.
