Cathedral Tower Lit for Baby Loss Awareness Week

Sunday 9 October - Saturday 15 October

Footsteps Counselling & Care is a charitable organisation which offers professional counselling and support to anyone in Gloucestershire affected by fertility or pregnancy related issues, traumatic birth or baby loss.

This year is the 20th anniversary of Baby Loss Awareness Week (#BLAW) which is a global week of raising awareness and opening conversations about baby loss, and takes place from 9 - 15 October annually. The week culminates in a global wave of light on 15 October where candles are lit all over the world in remembrance of babies gone too soon.

Each year buildings, homes and landmarks all over the country and indeed the world are lit up pink and blue for Baby Loss Awareness Week. We are delighted to be taking part in this by lighting the Cathedral Tower blue and pink between 9-15 October.

This year is also Footsteps 10th Anniversary, and they have lots of events and fundraising activities planned. This includes 'Snowdrops', a Baby Remembrance Ceremony held in Barnwood, Gloucester, on Thursday 13 October between 7pm-8pm. Please visit http://footstepscandc.org.uk/snowdrops to find out more.

Further information about their service and contact details are available on their website and social media channels.
