Your Cathedral has been shortlisted as SoGlos' Cultural Venue of the Year!

The SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards are back for another year, and we're so excited to have been shortlisted as Cultural Venue of the Year!

Now in their fifth year, the SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards recognise the very best businesses, charities and organisations in our county, with winners of each category being chosen by public vote.

The 'Cultural Venue of the Year' category is generously sponsored by 16i, and Visit Gloucestershire are the headline sponsors.

We feel very proud to have once again been shortlisted as Cultural Venue of the Year, alongside a number of fantastic museums, attractions and visitor destinations. 2021 was far from a normal year, with the global pandemic having a huge impact on all our daily lives. Gloucester Cathedral offered a Covid-safe, tranquil space for all during such a challenging time, and as restrictions eased, we are proud to have hosted a number of collaborative events and exhibitions alongside partner organisations. It was wonderful to welcome visitors for seasonal events like our Summer Challenge Trail, as well as our much-loved Christmas Experiences at Night, Carols on the Hour and festive services. Your Cathedral aims to be a beacon of hope in the city and county, and we are here and open for everyone, 365 days a year.
