Friday 29 March, 12 noon
All are welcome to join us on Good Friday, when we remember the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. We are delighted to welcome Dr Sanjee Perera, cognitive psychologist and theologian, to deliver four meditations on the meaning of the cross on Good Friday and to explore the dappled shade of Grace between doubt and faith.
Canon Dr Sanjee Perera, a lay canon of Liverpool Cathedral, is a Cognitive Ecclesiologist, specialising in identity, moral judgement and decision-making in societies experiencing ethnic conflict. She holds various honorary theological fellowships and an associate fellowship in law and has spent the last couple of decades in academia teaching and researching psychology, sociology, philosophy, theology and religion. She is a founding trustee of the College of Catholic Anglican Women, Trustee and Governor of Queen’s Foundation and the Christian publisher SPCK and a contributing author in this year’s Bible Reading Fellowship lent book Loving my Neighbour.
