Choral Evensong / Evening Prayer

Daily (5.30pm weekdays, 4.30pm Saturday, 3pm Sunday)

Enjoy world-class music from our Choirs and organ within the spectacular setting of the Quire at Choral Evensong. All are warmly welcome to join us for these magnificent services, which take place every day of the week.

Choral Evensong focuses on the singing of texts taken directly from the Bible, in addition to hearing the Bible read and prayers.

Occasionally we are able to live-stream Choral Evensong; when this is happening, a note will be included in our daily calendar.

The latest Music List is uploaded here.

Sometimes, including when the Choir are away during the school holidays, Evening Prayer will take place instead of Evensong.

Please note on Sunday 6 October at 3pm, The County Harvest Thanksgiving will take place instead of Evensong in the Nave of the Cathedral. All are most welcome!
