Good Friday 29 March, 7.00pm
Bach’s St John Passion is one of the most famous and dramatic choral pieces ever written.
This haunting piece of music was originally written to be performed by Bach’s Church Choir in Leipzig on Good Friday, 7 April 1724 and describes the last hours of Jesus’ life. It concentrates the mind on the realities of the Passion story in a unique way.
All are welcome to join us for this event, which is free to attend, but donations to the Cathedral are always welcome.
