Take a moment to slow down and unwind with a special family sound bathing session in the beautiful Chapter House at Gloucester Cathedral.
Sound bathing is an ancient wellbeing practice that uses calming sounds to encourage relaxation, helping to ease stress and anxiety.
This unique soundtrack has been created by local producer Ratjost, inspired by and featuring sounds recorded throughout the Cathedral, creating an immersive listening experience that connects you with this remarkable historic space.
The soundtrack will play on a continuous loop throughout the session, so you are welcome to drop in at any time - no booking is required.
Alongside the sound bath, there will be a selection of mindful activities suitable for a range of ages, making this a welcoming experience for families and visitors of all generations.
Admission: Entry by donation
Booking: No booking required – simply drop in whenever suits you
Location: The Chapter House is one of our most atmospheric spaces. This historic Grade I listed medieval meeting room was once where the monks gathered each day to discuss monastery life, conduct business, and read the monastic rules. Today, it provides an intimate setting for concerts, community events, and moments of quiet reflection.
