The Monk's Kitchen



Please note that opening times for the Monk's Kitchen may vary for a short while. Please check our daily calendar before visiting. We apoplgise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Monk's Hut is open 10.30am - 3.30pm daily

Our bespoke hut in the grounds of the Cathedral is open serving hot and cold drinks, cream teas, cakes, snacks and ice creams for you to enjoy. There are plenty of seating areas in Cathedral Green where you can relax and enjoy your food and drink.

The Monk’s Hut may have to close at short notice and will not be open during wet weather so please accept our apologies if we are not open when you visit.

The Monk's Kitchen is open 10.00am - 4.00pm daily 

Eat-in and takeaway options available

We will also be opening the Parliament Room again for wet weather days instead of the Monk's Hut.

  • Mask wearing is optional when visiting the Cathedral, we ask that you please show courtesy, and respect the views and feelings of others around you. Thank you.
  • You can now access the Monk's Kitchen via the cloister corridor.

Visit the Monk's Kitchen to find a delicious selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, rolls, paninis, bagels, toasties, sandwiches and aftenoon teas, including the new 'Tea on the Green' - a delicious take away cream tea, boxed up for you to enjoy in the beautiful grounds of the Cathedral.
