"O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining..."

Join Anthony our Adult Education photography tutor for an evening of Christmas themed photography from 3.30pm - 7pm on Tuesday 12 December.

Bring along your phone, camera or tablet and learn how to take breathtaking shots of the Cathedral, and surrounding areas, decorated for Christmas.

This is a walk and shoot workshop which will cover indoor areas of the Cathedral, as well as the Christmas lights of Westgate Street and other local areas. Please dress appropriately for the weather, there will be a classroom area to leave belongings such as bags available at the beginning and end of the session.

Meet your course tutor outside the main entrance door of the Cathedral at 15.20 

Please note, due to the constraints of our medieval building, we are regrettably unable to offer level access for the route of this course, and is therefore unsuitable for wheelchair users. This workshop is being delivered in partnership with Adult Education. This course is free to you if you are over 19 years old, have lived in the UK/EU for 3 or more years, or have a valid Residence Permit, and are one of the following: Unemployed or earning below £20,319 per year; Qualified below a Level 2 (less than 5 GCSEs); Have a mental health diagnosis, learning difficulty or disability.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
