Visiting on Good Friday

Friday 7 April, 10am-5pm

Today is Good Friday, when we remember Jesus' death and God's love for us. You are warmly welcome to come into the Cathedral to reflect, pray and light candles, but we ask that you are respectful of the sombre nature of this day whilst visiting.

The Way of the Cross will begin at the Cathedral at 10.30am, a powerful piece of theatre that you are invited to come and witness. The Liturgy of Good Friday will then happen between 12noon and 3.15pm. Between 11.30am-3.45pm, there will be no visitor access to the East End (Quire, Tribune Gallery, Lady Chapel and ambulatories) due to this service taking place, but all are welcome to attend.

Please note that The Monk's Kitchen and Cathedral Gift Shop will be closed all day, and our guided tours and Cheeky Chicks Easter Trail will not be running.
