Threads: Canvas Bag Printing Workshop

Saturday 28 September, 10am & 1pm

As part of Threads 2024 you are invited to have a go at printing your own canvas bag, to take home. Participants will use a variety of techniques and materials to decorate their bag, under the guidance of our tutor. The workshop will last 2 hours 30 minutes.

This activity is suitable for all ages, families are welcome.

Participants book per bag they wish to complete. e.g. 2 people completing 1 bag between them will need to book 1 ticket, whereas 2 people completing 1 bag each will need to book 2 tickets.

This course is being delivered in partnership with Adult Education in Gloucestershire.#

You may eligible for a free ticket if you are over the age of 19 and a UK/EEU resident in the last 3 years and one of the following: Unemployed/earning below £20,000 /retired; Learning disability; Mental health difficulty; qualified below a level 2 (less than 5 GCSES).

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.

    Cycling is a great way to get around Gloucester - the city is easy to explore on two wheels.
