The Preaching of the Cross

All are welcome to attend this solemn service on Good Friday, the most sombre day in the Christian year when we remember the Crucifixion.

Gloucester Cathedral is delighted to be joined by the Venerable Dr Rachel Mann, who will be preaching throughout Holy Week on the theme 'In the Midst of Love': With Jesus Through Holy Week.

Rachel Mann is a priest, poet, writer and broadcaster. She has written sixteen books, including the T.S.Eliot Prize shortlisted Eleanor Among the Saints and acclaimed theology and spirituality books. She broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 4 and Radio 2 including presenting Thought For The Day on the Today programme. She is currently Archdeacon of Salford and Bolton.
