Movement and Mindfulness Classes

Saturday 27 August, 10.30am, 12noon and 1.15pm

This month, Lucy Hagger of Journey Well Yoga will be running free movement and mindfulness classes in the Chapter House of Gloucester Cathedral. These classes will use yoga and Pilates-based techniques, with exercises that are designed to strength, stretch and mobilise the body. This will be an opportunity to take a moment to pause, relax and find a sense of peace, all within the spectacular surroundings of the Cathedral.


The classes will take place at the following times:

Family class, 10.30am-11.15am
Adult class, 12noon-12.45pm and 1.15pm-2pm

These classes are free to attend. Please note that children taking part in the family class need to be aged 7 or over and they must be accompanied by an adult, but adults don’t have to book a ticket.

Movement mats will be available, but if you have your own, please do bring this with you.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.

    Cycling is a great way to get around Gloucester - the city is easy to explore on two wheels.
