Late Night Opening - Heritage Open Days 2025

Saturday 13 September 6.30pm, last entry at 8pm

Step into the Cathedral after dark, when the beautiful spaces are at their most atmospheric. See the magnificent architecture in a different light and enjoy listening to beautiful choral music performed by the Stuart Singers. The Cathedral Gift Shop will also be open for you to pick up the perfect souvenir from your visit.

The Cathedral will re-open after evening worship at 6.30pm. Last entry will be at 8pm, closing at 8.30pm.

Please note that during the day on Saturday 13 September, the main Cathedral will be open to explore from 10am-1.30pm.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
