FOGC - Drinks Reception at the Deanery

Wednesday 10 June, 6.30pm

The Friends are very grateful to the Dean of Gloucester, the Very Revd Andrew Zihni, and Lloyd Wood for hosting us in their home.

You are invited to enjoy drinks and canapes at the Deanery, and we also hope to have a small selection of treasures from the Cathedral's collections available to view.

This is an opportunity to see behind the front door of the Deanery and appreciate the splendidly decorated drawing and dining rooms as well as the garden (weather permitting) whilst socialising with other Friends in a relaxed environment.

The Cathedral has many exciting treasures tucked away from public view, and we are excited at the opportunity to see a small curated selection of these rarely seen gems. We look forward to discovering what items are chosen for us to enjoy and admire.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.

    Cycling is a great way to get around Gloucester - the city is easy to explore on two wheels.
