Christmas Carol Service

Join us at the Cathedral for a beautiful and uplifting celebration of Christmas, as we gather to hear the timeless story of the birth of Jesus, told through readings from the Bible and some of the most treasured music of the season.

In the magnificent surroundings of the Cathedral, the Cathedral Choir will lead us on a journey through the Christmas story, from the words of the prophets to the joy and wonder of Christ's birth.

With glorious choral music, familiar carols and moments of quiet reflection, this special service offers an opportunity to pause amid the busyness of the season and experience the hope, peace and joy at the heart of Christmas.

Whether you join us every year or are visiting for the first time, you are warmly invited to share in this much-loved Christmas tradition. All are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE

These special services are among the most popular in our calendar and we’re delighted to announce we have three services this year:

Monday 21 December, 6pm
Tuesday 22 December, 6pm
Wednesday 23 December, 6pm

While no tickets are required for these services, seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis so we recommend arriving in good time.

Please expect queues and dress for the weather. If you need assistance please speak to a member of the team.

An additional carol service has been added due to popular demand this year. We anticipate very high attendance on Wednesday 23 December, so we encourage visitors to consider joining us on Monday 21 or Tuesday 22 instead.
