Cathedral closed to visitors today

Thursday 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May

Please note that on 11, 12 and 13 May, the Cathedral will be closed for visiting due to the NAFAS National Show taking place. There will be no public guided tours during this period. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

If you would like to attend the NAFAS National Show (taking place on 12 and 13 May), tickets can be purchased on the day. All are welcome.

Worship: During this period, please note that Morning Prayer (8.30am), Holy Communion (12.30pm) and Evening Prayer (5.30pm on 11th and 12th and 4.30pm on 13th) will all take place at St Mary de Lode in St Mary's Square, Gloucester.

The Monk's Kitchen will stay open as normal during this period. The Gift Shop will be closed on Thursday 11 May, and will be open on 12-13 May for Flower Show ticket holders.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
