BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong - Live Broadcast

You are warmly invited to join us for Choral Evensong on Wednesday 18 September which will be sung by the Cathedral Choir and broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.

Please note that the time of Evensong on this day will be 3pm and we ask that you are seated by 2.45pm at the latest.

It will celebrate one of Gloucestershire’s greatest sons, the composer Gustav Holst, who was born in Cheltenham on 21st September 1874. This week sees the 150th anniversary of his birth.

No booking is required. All are welcome!

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
