Access to the Cloisters and Garth only today

Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June

Please note that the main Cathedral will be closed to general visitors on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th June due to the annual Diocesan school leavers' services taking place.

There will be visitor access to the Cloisters and Garth between 10am-4pm via The Monk's Kitchen.

The 12.30pm Holy Communion and 5.30pm Evensong services will go ahead as usual. If you wish to attend one of these services, please notify a member of the Cathedral team when you arrive.

  • Parking

    We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.

    There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.

    However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
