A rare chance to visit the Cathedral's beautiful, hidden 15th Century monastic library

Located high above the main body of the Cathedral (you will need to go up 38 spiral steps!) the Cathedral Library Room was originally part of the Abbey and holds a wonderful collection of books and manuscripts dating back to the 11th century.

Mini Tours

Climb the spiral staircase to discover the 15th century library and hear the history of the library told in four documents.

Full Tours

Full library tours are themed and last one hour.

 

Library Tour and Cream Tea

Come along on a special tour of the library, then share a delicious cream tea in the Monk’s Kitchen.

£12.00 per person plus Eventbrite booking fee.
