Beacon of Hope Hurricane Lanterns

Beacon of Hope Hurricane Lanterns

Limited Edition Hurricane Lanterns are available to purchase until Candlemas on 2 February 2021

  • We are delighted to offer our community the chance to purchase a limited edition hurricane lantern, which has been illustrated by Cheltenham-based calligrapher, Emma Barnes.

  • There were just 250 lanterns made, with a unique number on each and (subject to availability) it will be yours to treasure forever as a monument from this remarkable period of history, serving as your very own beacon of hope to have inside your home.

  • Comfort and joy are as important as ever as and it is hoped that these lanterns will bring you exactly that, year after year.

  • They are priced at £100 each, with funds raised going to Gloucester Cathedral's Beacon of Hope Appeal. This appeal is your Cathedral's response to the impact of Covid-19, and the lanterns will play a key role in ensuring we can continue to support our city, county and diocese' recovery.

Lantern dimensions are 25cm height x 15 cm width.  Each lantern is presented in a gift box with Beacon of Hope message on the front and a Prayer on the back.  Candle (displayed above) is not included.
