Beacon of Hope Hurricane Lanterns

Beacon of Hope Hurricane Lanterns

Limited Edition

  • As part of Gloucester Cathedral's Beacon of Hope Appeal, we are delighted to offer our community the chance to purchase a limited edition hurricane lantern, which has been illustrated by Cheltenham-based calligrapher, Emma Barnes.
  • There are just 250 lanterns available, with a unique number on each. It will be yours to treasure forever as a monument from this remarkable period of history, serving as your very own beacon of hope to have inside your home.
  • Comfort and joy are as important as ever as we enter the Christmas period, and it is hoped that these lanterns will bring you exactly that, year after year.
  • They are priced at £100 each, with funds raised going to Gloucester Cathedral's Beacon of Hope Appeal. This appeal is your Cathedral's response to the impact of Covid-19, and the lanterns will play a key role in ensuring we reach our £1 million target by Christmas.
