Priceless heritage at risk

Our 15th century Lady Chapel is regarded as one of the greatest treasures of Gloucester Cathedral but was identified as the most ‘at risk’ part of the building. 

having neared a state of irreparable deterioration, the Lady Chapel restoration project was a major undertaking for Gloucester Cathedral that took over three years.
