Catriona Holsgrave: soprano
Emily Wenman: soprano

John Pierce: tenor
Richard Walshe: bass

Mozart’s Requiem, completed after his death by Süssmayr, is one of the most popular pieces of sacred choral music with origins shrouded in mystery as no record exists as to who commissioned the work which adds to the Mozart myth. Coupled with Bach’s great Magnificat, we bring you another great masterpiece, written during Bach’s time as Thomaskantor in Leipzig. This setting of the “Song of Mary” is brilliantly crafted and wonderful on the ear.

Malice through the Looking Glass: A Whodunnit in Wonderland

Friday 16 March 7.30pm - 10.00pm

Cathedral Nave

Six months after Alice first tumbled down the rabbit hole, all hell has broken loose in Wonderland – the White Queen is on the rampage, Tweedle Dum isn’t speaking to Tweedle Dee, and Humpty Dumpty is behaving very strangely. Worse still, the White King is filing for divorce, the Mad Hatter isn’t the only one who’s lost his marbles, and the recently crowned Alice has just discovered a dastardly plot to put the Red Queen back on the throne …

Join us for an interactive sleuthing evening in the Cathedral nave, and help to solve the mystery of Malice through the Looking Glass.
