Our digital Advent calendar is returning for 2021, and this year we’re delighted to have partnered with Gloucestershire’s Poet Laureate, Ziggy Dicks, to create 25 short poems that capture the themes at the heart of Christmas.

Starting from Wednesday 1 December and finishing on Christmas Day, we’ll share a video of one of these poems being read by a member of the Gloucester Cathedral community. You can expect to see plenty of familiar faces, as well as some new ones, and each video will be filmed from a different location within the Cathedral to show you as much of this magnificent space as possible

Ziggy has skilfully created poems that we hope will appeal to everyone, and we also hope that they might inspire you to come and explore your Cathedral this Christmas.
