  • Message from Dean Stephen

Your Cathedral is closed following Government guidance in these challenging times, but it still stands as a sign of hope for us all.

The Cathedral clergy are continuing to pray on your behalf, praying for you and for our world. We are continuing to function and are discovering news ways of providing service and hope. Prayers can be asked for at prayers@gloucestercathedral.org.uk

Jesus said; ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.’ Let us all place our trust in God and all those who care for us.

Jesus called us to be Living Stones and the Church began in the homes of the first Christians. Your Cathedral has stood firm for nearly a thousand years and will re-open as soon as possible, when we can re-discover the value and meaning of something that is more than simply a building.

May God bless you and your loved ones.

The Very Reverend Stephen Lake,  Dean of Gloucester
