To mark the Association of English Cathedral's Year of Pilgrimage Gloucester Cathedral are delighted to be leading this Pilgrimage as a Christian spiritual journey, open to all. Starting at Tewkesbury Abbey and concluding at Gloucester Cathedral, pilgrims are warmly invited to join Evensong on arrival at Gloucester.

The event aims to raise awareness of physical activity for mental, physical and spiritual health whilst also heralding caring for our planet. The route takes in several Parish Churches, joining our spiritual and built heritage through pilgrims.

‘As contemporary interest in pilgrimage continues to grow, we are delighted to offer the 2021 Gloucester Pilgrimage as a Christian spiritual journey, open to all. Gloucester Cathedral welcomes visitors and pilgrims every day. This contemporary organised pilgrimage from Tewkesbury Abbey to Gloucester  invites us to connect with this ancient spiritual practice and make it our own. We hope the outer physical journey will enable pilgrims to also make a journey of the heart, connecting more deeply with others, themselves, the landscape and God.’  The Revd Canon Dr Andrew Braddock

The event is free.
