Free Family Fun for the Summer Holidays

Join us from 1.00pm – 3.00pm every Thursday afternoon in the school summer holidays for themed, free Family Fun Activities.

Thursday 27 July

Free clay modelling activity and stone masons demo. Come and find us in the Cloister Garth to get involved! Drop-in crafts all afternoon and Demos at regular intervals. 

 

Thursday 3 August

Spaniel in the Works Theatre Company present Animal Wonders storytelling sessions. Interactive and fun storytelling in the Cloister Garth! Explore magical stories of the animals you may see in the Cathedral and in the city beyond.  Sessions will start at 1pm & 2pm and last approx 40 minutes.

 

Thursday 10 August

Today is an Arty Afternoon! Drop-in and join an art session in the Cloister Garth, sessions are free and no need to book. Come along to our Print Making Workshop with Global Arts, where we will have a range of activities from print making to collage, all exploring symbols and colour & inspired by the Cathedral setting. Try working a roller or using wood-block printing to print your own fabric artwork to take home.

 

Thursday 17 August 10.00am - 3.00pm

A Day in the Life...  Free, hands on workshop sessions exploring a day in medieval times! Learn about foods of the time, how people cooked, washed (if they did at all!) clothes worn and their daily routine. 

 

Thursday 24 August

Join Alice  from the Gloucestershire Geology Trust for a drop-in Rock and Fossil Roadshow in the Cloister Garth - offering a range of activities from plaster-cast fossils to badge making and other prehistoric arts and crafts!

 

Thursday 31 August

Spaniel in the Works Theatre Co return for more super summer Storytelling in the Cloister Garth.
