Informal Lunchtime Concert - Launceston Male Voice Choir

Informal Lunchtime Concert

Saturday 28 April 1.00pm

Launceston Male Voice Choir

The Launceston Male Voice Choir was formed in 1969 and has a current membership of more than 50 choristers, with a repertoire extending to over 90 pieces and covering a wide variety of traditional and modern material.

We are fortunate to have as our base the Central Methodist Church in our home town, where we are able to use the superb hall as our rehearsal room and the main church for our home concerts, which regularly attract a large audience.

We perform around 15 -20 concerts a year, mainly in West Devon and  North and East Cornwall.

Last year, the Choir took part in many concerts raising money for:-  Children's Hospice, Launceston League of Friends Launceston Hospital, Defibrillator Launceston Central Methodist Church, Coverack Appeal and many more. We hosted The Cheddar Male Voice at Lewdown Village Hall for a very successful joint concert. The choir also enjoy visiting the local Residential Homes at Christmas, leading Christmas Carols and a few other songs.   Looking at the diary for this year, we are supporting a lot of local charities again.

We are extremely fortunate to have a great Music Team and over 100 ‘Friends of the Choir’ made up of our wives, partners and many others who regularly attend our concerts and join us when we are on tour.
