The Labyrinth

To complement our Cathedral trails we can extend and develop learning and reflection through specially designed labyrinth sessions.

Using the RE unit as a starting point, students are encouraged to reflect and join in activities whilst they walk the labyrinth, just as people have been doing for over a thousand years.

These sessions are also ideal for building team working skills and engaging with spirituality.  They are particularly relevant for students undergoing times of transition, giving a practical tool to reflect on emotions relating to change.

Teachers will realise how easy it is to create a labyrinth themselves and therefore be able to take the skills and ideas back to the classroom with them.

This can be a stand alone session or can be linked to another tour.  Follow up craft activities can be included.

Timing: 1 hour to half day (depending on requirements)

Cost: Half Day: £3 per pupil (+VAT) Whole Day visit: £4 per pupil (+VAT), Accompanying adults free
