Be inspired by the wonderful art work created by pupils of the Gloucestershire Schools Partnership Trust which is on display in the Cloisters through Half Term.

Explore the fantastic colours, symbols and textures of the Cathedral then come and get arty with unique, free, drop-in art sessions with Anna and Ropert of Global Arts.

From Silk Painting and Stencilling to Adinkra Block Printing and Tile Painting there will be a range of creative activities to try and participants can take home their own artwork.

Sessions are free, donations welcomed.

Suitable for age 3+.

The Chapter House is fully accessible.

This is our first in a series of conservation and collections care workshops as part of the Cathedral’s Project Pilgrim engagement programme.

The workshop takes place in the Cathedral Chapter House and will be led by Victoria Stevens ACR, an accredited Library and Archive Conservator.

A talk by Dr Janina Ramirez

BBC 4’s resident art historian, Dr Janina Ramirez, will spend an evening at Gloucester Cathedral to give a fascinating insight into Anglo Saxon Benedictine Art of the 10th Century reform.

Dr Ramirez is famous for TV documentaries and best selling books such as Julian of Norwich and Private Lives of the Saints and there will be an opportunity to meet and buy books from her after the talk.
