Sofia Chamber Choir was founded in 2011 and is a mixed choir resident in Sofia Church in central Stockholm, Sweden. All members of the choir are trained singers between 20 and 30 years old. The choir sings a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary music. Recent performances have included works by Taverner, Bach, Rheinberger, Pizzetti, Britten, Whitacre & Gjeilo. Sofia Chamber Choir has appeared in Swedish Television at two occasions, and has made concert tours to France, Spain, Italy, Germany & Norway.



Henrik Arlestrand is organist and Director of Music at Sofia Church, Stockholm. He is head of an extraordinary large and vital music department, including 20 choirs and one orchestra, providing music at all services in the church as well as about 100 concerts every year. Henrik performs regularly as both organ recitalist and conductor. He has been the conductor of Sofia Chamber Choir since 2011. He has studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Stockholm.
